doodles . to TV with love

to TV with love
12.37am coded 190211, another weekend! It has been months since I sit down for more than an hour to watch a TV series or even looping advertisements. TV has always been a marvel creation. It boost imagination, curiosity, action-packed and sometimes, tears-filling. Most of the people nowadays watch their favorite series or movie or even advertisement through the computer or should I say, laptop-screen. To some people, a laptop-screen, an i-pad screen, a mobile phone screen or TV screen, they are just the same. As long as it has a screen and may display animation or still images, it’s a marvel screen. But it just felt so different to watch what you used to watch when you are still a kid through the TV screen comparing to non-TV screen, now. Some might say the difference is just because of the sizes or display quality but did you really look deeper into the question. Watching TV is a kind of gathering. You do watch the TV with your family but you don’t usually share your computer screen with your family. You can watch TV with a bunch of your friends but you don’t usually share your laptop-screen with more than 3 friends (Maybe you did with more the numbers but can they really stare for more than half an hour or so?). I guess the marvel creation of TV is not only to supply multiple channels in the event of philosophy but to make a gathering point. It is a point where we share our laughter and tears with one another. It’s time to give a big hug to your TV at home as the TV is just like a family member too. Without it, the gathering might not be there, nightly, weekly or even annually.

pillowed t-shirt

Everyone loves t-shirt. Not only because it is comfortable, ever-fashionable, unisex-able, colorful, black or white, printed, non-printed, collared, non-collared, buttoned, non-buttoned, branded, less-branded, xs, s, m, l, xl, double xl, super duper large, round-neck, v-neck, long sleeves, short sleeves, no sleeves, 100% cotton, 100% polyester fiber, 50% cotton-50% polyester fiber, custom-made, non-custom-made, paid by yourself, paid by your mom, a gift from your bf/gf, a gift from your ex bf/gf or simply an adoption from the second-hand store, a t-shirt is something hard to throw away. Even if it is too old or your mom threatened to throw it out during the annual clean-up day, you crossed your fingers to tell the lie that you will wear it tomorrow or maybe the day after tomorrow or the day after after tomorrow and so on. It just feels hard to throw it out from your closet till the day, mr. cockroach or mrs. mice comes over for a visit and had a few bites as dessert with your favorite Tee, it’s too late then.
Here’s a tip for you to enable your t-shirt by staying by your side without feeling insecure through the threatening of your mom, mr. cockroach or mrs. mice. Instead of staying on the same spot in your closet for years, why don’t you evolve it? You can turn it into a bag, pouch, mobile-pouch, coaster or any other thing which can relate to cloth. For me, I love my tees because of the printed art and its comfort. And so, here we are… the evolution of T-shirt, pilloweeeeeed T-shirt!
You just need to pick your favorite Tee, cut it into your desired shape, normally it’s square or rectangular, sew the sides, leave a small hole on one of the sides, reverse it out and stuck in cotton wools, sew the hole and there you go… a t-shirt pillow. To me, cotton wool might be non-hygienic or when the day comes, the pillow will be as slim as your next door neighbor’s bamboo stick and so, I used the other remaining of my t-shirts and cut it into small pieces ranging from 1.5cm x 1.5cm and stuck it in until the pillow puff up to my desired comfort.
(FYI: Be sure that the shirt is not suit for other people to wear, e.g.: bleached, a hole at some area which you can’t wear anymore, yellowish residue at the armpit area, etc, else, why don’t you pass it to someone who will appreciate it instead of letting it lay in the closed closet of spider webs.)

color blind . to the rescue

color blind . to the rescue
1.55am coded 120211, Saturday morning and it’s the weekend! Part time job confirmed and life goes on. The ‘Red-Season’ is passing by and will end soon but still, life goes on as it is and till we meet again next year. Some felt joyous about this season but some might felt different this year. Different it is on the occasion. Seems like it doesn’t sounds like the old days. But I guess everyone still goes along with the occasion and keeping the most basics of the culture. Turning into a happy mode depends a lot on oneself and what take place from the minute you open your eyes in the morning or afternoon or even any hour depending on different people’s wake up call.  I felt happy this morning, I mean yesterday morning. I was on my way to work, 10 minutes late comparing to normal days. Reached my working location, parked my car, grab my loaded bags and did the “See you later” action to my car, got a reply from her with a beep and head straight to my income factory. On the way, just a few more steps to reach my destination, I made an emergency break with my Converse shoes. A snail was crossing the human-walkway making its way to human-land which to me, it means danger. I was already two steps from it and turned back and after seconds thought, I picked it up and land it on the grass-land which I felt, safer. This reminds me on a night when I was on my way back home a few years ago. A guy, sending me home and he made an emergency break pulling out at the side of the road and got off the car. To my amazement, I saw him running back to the road behind us, picking up a kitty from the middle of the dark road and land it on the grass-land. My heart melts from that point and I’m glad that he was the one who sent me home that very night. It was a kitty-saving-night and yesterday, it was a snail-saving-morning to me and I felt great about it though it is just a tiny deed. If helping someone is so hard, maybe we can cultivate it on smaller things in our life. There’s no harm to help. Happy weekend!

doodles. stuck in the middle of nowhere

stuck in the middle of nowhere

12.56am coded 020212, a day which I made a big decision in life. Handed out my resignation letter for the second time and it’s a no reject offer this time. A job for 8 full years and I’m saying goodbye to it in just a black and white printed paper. If everything goes smooth maybe full-time will become part-time. I guess in my hierarchy of life, I’m reaching the peak of a twist to my career path. Everything goes in a flow for the past decade and I think hopping to a higher spot might be challenging or at least I did something different which I think I should take this opportunity on hand this time. This coming few months might be miserable to me because I might felt like I’m stuck in the middle of nowhere betting on the big and small gambling table. Who knows what’s next in life but as long as there are confidence and ability, I guess I won’t starve myself to dead. As long as there is a vacancy available, it’s your choice to fill it up. Wish me luck!

color blind . waiting for the path-finder

color blind . waiting for the path-finder
7.40pm coded 260111

This was taken last year during a trip to Penang. I love taking photos when i'm inside of the car and of coz when i'm not driving. This sight captures my color blind lens when I was on the way up a little route to a temple and it reminds me of the days when i'm still in waiting for the path-finder... the bus driver. When I was in my primary school, I always take the bus to school until the last year of my high school days. I've never felt bored about the waiting duration coz that is the only period that I can spend time with myself and my dream. I always day dream during the waiting and even sing to myself. Nowadays its a different thing as there is MP3 and people sings to me and sometimes I even sing along. If there's a book, I will be reading. If there's a blank book, I will be doodling. If there's a camera, I will be snapping photos. If there's nothing, I will be observing. If there's nothing to observe and it's dark, I will be... shaking... coz this mean I'm alone in the dark and it's scary. Sometimes I wish I have telepathic skills to enable me in reading other people's mind. I can then check out what kind of thing that each of the "path-finder-wait-er" are thinking.

doodles . questions

questions

1.00am coded 220111, it's Saturday morning and no work for tomorrow! But it's weird to me as I'm feeling kind of melancholic in this hour. I think the blue day of the month must have reach. The day which I get very upset all of a sudden and need to shed a few tears to get comfortable. I guess my life is reaching another point where I need to do a lot of decision making, trusting and believing, applying and deleting, remembering and forgetting, pretending and lying, eating and drinking, purchasing and selling, sleeping and dreaming, loving and hating, pushing and pulling, listening and muting, accepting and avoiding, creating and destroying, trying and handling, -ing and -ing, -ing and -ing, and the -ing goes on… if it is really that easy, there will be no questions or curiosities in life… and so life goes on with your brain working out on more solutions and answers for all the questions your heart and mind are asking. I guess I’m still searching for confidence and courage in order to go on with my plans and projects to walk on this adventurous route of life. Wish me luck and hope my success may shine on you with a special memory of the timid me.
